Check out Out Front Theatre Company, a new face on the metro Atlanta arts scene. The company tells stories of the LGBTQIA (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intergender, Allied) experience and community. Its three-show season begins in October with the 2011 Broadway musical Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, based on the 1994 film about two drag queens and a transsexual who take a road trip across the Australian Outback. It continues in February with A Kid Like Jake by Daniel Pearle, a 2013 drama about a 4-year-old boy who likes Cinderella better than GI Joe, which complicates his admission to a coveted Manhattan pre-school. It ends in May with The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told, playwright Paul Rudnick's comic take on the Creation story. Out Front performs in the former Fabrefaction Theatre space at 999 Brady Ave. in West Midtown.
