Theatrical Outfit's Boy asks whether it's nature or nurture that determines who and how we love. This Southeastern premiere, inspired by a true story, begins in 1968, when a renowned doctor convinces the parents of a baby boy to raise him as a girl after an accident. Years later, the repercussions of that choice unfold and alter lives. With humor and tenderness, Boy explores the tricky terrain of loving oneself and others amid the confusion of gender identity. The cast is led by actors Clifton Guterman and Tom Key. Boy, by New York-based playwright Anna Ziegler, contains mature themes and content.
