The Lawrence, at Juniper and 8th streets in Midtown Atlanta, is named for the patron saint of chefs. It's the place to go for dining, wine, spirits and coffee, with a modern American menu that is equally friendly to carnivores, vegetarians and the gluten-free crowd. Go for dinner seven nights a week or weekend brunch. Don't forget the libations! Wine by the glass or half carafe encourages tasting; the hand-crafted cocktails are big on gin and the Lawrence's own 12-year bourbon. Unlike many Atlanta eateries, it does take reservations.
